To replace a defective hard drive

Connect this cable to the new hard drive.
Unplug the power cord last and connect the new hard drive.
With two cables connected, you should be able to screw the lid and plug in the event your computer.
Reattach the wires to the back of yourComputer connect the power cord to the end.
Install a new copy of Windows on your computer and you should be like new. Most computers come with a type of hard drive you to reinstall Windows.
